The Premier Holistic ADHD and Psychiatry Clinic in Denver, CO

Harness Your ADHD, and make your

life work marriage reality

so much better!

Imagine what you could achieve, once you get out of your own way.

You’re smart, intuitive and have great ideas and intentions.  You deeply care about making an impact in this life, but somehow you don’t have anything to show for all your hard work.  And the demands- from yourself and others- just keep piling up.

Others around you seem to be doing just fine, and it feels like you’re missing out on some secret- some way to get rid of the stress and doubt and frustration.

WHAT IS THE SECRET?  And can you get it done?

Hi, I’m Brendon Pardington.

Husband, Father, Physician Assistant, Fellow ADHD’er, and Founder of ADHD Advantage.

If you are struggling with your ADHD, I understand. I’ve been exactly where you are.

And I want better for you.

  • No more wasted hours on procrastination, doubt, and disorganization

  • No more paralysis in frustration and overwhelm

  • No more sabotaging your own success with poor time-management and planning

  • No more looking at your to-do list and feeling like a failure

  • No more strained and crumbling relationships at work and home

  • No more being at the mercy of your emotions and just reacting to life

Not only will you get out of your own way, but with the right strategies and mindset, you will achieve your full potential!

You just need to understand and harness your ADHD, and the rest will fall into place.

And that’s where I come in.

I can evaluate you for ADHD (and the anxiety, depression and other issues that often come with it) and I can help you learn to manage it and use it in service of achieving your full potential.

I do that by offering the two most powerful ADHD management tools available:  medication and coaching.

Medication can be crucial the right dose brings focus and creates the right environment for meaningful change.

However, you need fast, high-quality personal growth and pills don’t do that.  Neither do books, videos or podcasts (if they did, you’d have figured all of this out on your own).  Only coaching can give you a practical and individualized game plan, motivate you, and bring new ideas and fresh perspectives that shine a light on your BS (bullsh*t and blindspots) so you can make real change.  Only coaching provides the accountability crucial in developing the habits needed for consistent and powerful forward motion!

Up to 80% of those with ADHD will have another diagnosable psychiatric condition at some point in their life.  Because of that, I also treat numerous other psychiatric conditions.

All of the services I offer are part of a comprehensive approach to vastly improving your physical, cognitive and emotional performance, and all are highly effective and evidence-based.

If other issues are present, they often remit once ADHD is adequately treated.  If I recommend therapy, I will refer you to a therapist who specializes in your challenge.

The ADHD Advantge Team

Our Mission:

To educate, motivate and empower adults with ADHD to bring consistent focus, intent and vitality every single day so they can achieve their true potential, inspire others, and live a rich and fulfilling life.

Brendon Pardington is a husband, father, Physician Assistant, and fellow ADHD’er.  After years of struggling undiagnosed and battling the symptoms with varying success through coaching, he finally admitted to ADHD while working with Dr. Bill Dodson in a general psychiatry practice.

After learning to fully manage his ADHD, he went on to found ADHD Advantage. Watching his clients grow in confidence, power and happiness is his most fulfilling activity.  When he’s not helping others manage their ADHD, he is hanging out with his family or managing his ADHD by climbing, biking, playing ultimate frisbee or reading.

Dr. William Dodson is an internationally renowned expert on ADHD and has been a practicing psychiatrist for almost 50 years. In addition to running his own ADHD-specific private practice for 4 decades, he has taught at Georgetown University and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  He regularly presents at numerous ADHD conferences and is a powerful online presence in the ADHD community where he regularly demystifies the nature of ADHD and the science behind it.

In order to meet all of his current obligations, Dr. Dodson is not currently taking new clients.

Our Services

  • The foundation upon which your journey begins. This is a comprehensive 90-minute evaluation which is essentially a tour of your life as a whole up to this moment. It is a powerful exercise and frequently reveals important insights into your life. In addition to your lifetime of experience, we use objective standardized forms to evaluate for the presence of psychiatric conditions including ADHD, insomnia, anxiety, depression, OCD and bipolar as well as identify any road-blocks to achieving your goals. You are the most complex organism in the universe, fashioned by genetics and millions of experiences. If it feels like you’ve got a lot going on, it’s because you do. Because we are committed to improving your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, we provide the means to assess and ensure the health of all of them. We begin with your physical and mental health with this assessment, and if you can’t provide them, we can order lab work. We can also provide advanced genetic-testing if you have a history of treatment resistance. This allows us to identify pre-existing genetic factors impacting your treatment and well as learn which medications will be most effective for you.

    Cost: $450

  • Based on the comprehensive assessment and the nature of your diagnosis, we will make evidence-based treatment recommendations suitable for all of your needs. The applicable neurochemistry will be explained as part of the rationale for recommendations and you will leave with a full understanding of the nature of your challenges. Because we treat you holistically, you can expect to discuss interventions such as medications, supplements, coaching, nutrition, vitamins, exercise and therapy- keeping in mind that I like to keep things simple by focusing on the essentials necessary for you to achieve your goals. Overwhelming you is counterproductive to our mission, and you’ve got a busy life. We will collaborate to form an effective strategy, and our goals will be quickly getting you a steady state of relief that requires reduced need for appointments, eventual full remission and possibly stopping medication, if appropriate.

Once your medication regimen is stabilized, we will only need to meet for 30 minutes once every 3 months.

    Cost: $150

  • This is essential for fully mastering your ADHD and using it to achieve your full potential. ADHD is best thought of as a second nervous system, one based on interest instead of importance. Coaching begins with a full understanding of your neurochemistry as well as the biopsychosocial ramifications and common pitfalls of ADHD and how to navigate them. This coaching brings quick relief, empowerment and powerful forward action. Success will be measured in goals achieved as well as more personal markers of success as defined by you. If you carry an ADHD diagnosis, then ADHD Coaching is required before beginning Massive Success or Burnout Coaching.

  • This coaching moves to core limiting beliefs and personal transformation. Your limiting beliefs, assumptions and BS (blind spots and bullshit) will be examined as they appear in your life, allowing you to move beyond your self-imposed limitations. Fresh perspectives and accountability to effective action round out this potent and crucial element of the art of building a well-rounded life of deep meaning and purpose. This new you, vastly more potent, capable and aware of what’s truly possible, will naturally transform your relationships at home and work, which changes everything.

  • This coaching is designed to protect the career you’ve sacrificed so much for. You checked all the boxes, did everything right- you’ve got the job, the family, the house, but it’s getting harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning. You've invested too much time and effort to let it go, but you come home exhausted and your family is paying the price, and something has to give. You don’t have to choose between them- you just have to understand the nature of what you’re up against and learn how to work effectively with all the competing demands pulling you apart. In three months, we will have you back to jumping out of bed in the morning, excited to get to work and crush your goals. If you feel like you’re stuck between quitting your job or losing your family, then this is the solution you’ve been looking for. You CAN have it all- a meaningful career, the love of your family, the friends, the hobbies, the adventure- ALL of it!

We make it easy.

Convenient.  Efficient.  Reliable.

Because we know how challenging ADHD can be, and because we value your precious time, we have designed our clinic to be as user-friendly as possible by offering:

  • Electronic Prescribing (eRx):  prescriptions are submitted electronically to your pharmacy so you don’t have to drop them off or worry about losing them.

  • College Student Discounts: ADHD is challenging enough, but when you're eating ramen, studying all night, don't have a car, work part-time, and are wondering how you're going to make it through the next 4 years, you just need a break.

  • Virtual Appointments:  secure & HIPAA-compliant virtual visits via Zoom, when appropriate. Essential when you're traveling, too busy to leave work or home, or traffic or weather is terrible.

  • Calendar Invites:  All appointments are made on HIPAA-compliant Google Calendar and Outlook so you can stay organized and sync your appointments with your personal calendar.

  • Automated Reminders: via text or email.  Links are also provided via email so you can easily reschedule when your calendar changes without waiting for me to respond.

  • Simplified Electronic Communication:  Private and quickly responsive email communication for most needs without the hassle of a patient portal.  Allows you to easily ask questions, address medication refills, paperwork, etc.

  • Out-of-network Services:   We can provide the codes necessary for you to apply for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. These reimbursement rates, if available, vary widely depending on insurance, so please verify your out-of-network benefits. Our medical management services qualify for HSA.

FAQ’s

  • Brendon is currently accepting new psychiatry patients and coaching clients, currently with a 2-3 week waiting period.

Dr. Dodson is not currently accepting new patients in order to preserve the quality of care to those he already serves.

  • You can call or email us and we will begin the scheduling process for the initial psychiatric evaluation, which can last up to 90 minutes.

At that visit, we will discuss in detail your concerns, your goals, your medical and mental health history, your sleep, exercise, and nutrition habits and you will be screened for co-existing conditions. We will then discuss any barriers to success and finish with treatment recommendations, including medications, coaching, and others, and schedule any follow-up appointments.

This is a comprehensive and foundational visit that begins the process of your transformation. It will bring clarity about ADHD and a better understanding of your life, and you will leave with a detailed strategy about how to manage and then master your ADHD and use it to create the success you know you are truly capable of.

The fee for this visit is currently $450 for 90 minutes and is due at time of service rendered.

  • For the Initial Evaluation cost and description see “What is your process?” above.

Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. We discuss your progress, the effectiveness and side-effects of the medication, and any need for adjustments. As we fine-tune your new medication/s and monitor for side-effects, best practice is to meet monthly, although some medications require an initial 2 week follow-up. Once your medication regimen is stabilized we will only need to meet every 3 months. At the time of this writing, if you receive stimulants or other controlled medications, we are required to meet in person once annually.

The fee for follow-up appointments is $150, unless included in a coaching package.

Be aware that corporate ADHD providers who do accept insurance often make up for lost revenue by requiring you to make monthly appointments, whereas I require quarterly appointments. They do this not out of medical necessity or safety concerns, or I would too, but to increase their profit, at the cost of your far more precious time. By working with me, you spend the same money ($150 every 3 months) and a lot less time.

I do not charge for the following services:

-Messaging or short phone calls, including you and/or your other providers

    -Form completion

    -Prior authorizations

    -Medication refill requests

    -Simple medication adjustments between appointments

-Rescheduling your appointments with greater than 24 hours notice. (If you give less than 24 hours notice, or fail to present for your appointment, you will receive one pass. The second occurrence will be charged the full price for the appointment regardless of purchase of a coaching package.)

*Please note, prescriptions will only be entered for our current patients who consistently present for their appointments and pay their bill. We require 3 business days notice prior to refilling all medications. It is up to you to notify us BEFORE you run out of medication.

  • Coaching is a tailored service and comes in different packages that include and exclude medical management. We will only know which will best serve you, if any, at the end of the initial evaluation. If you are looking to truly transform your life, through skill and action, coaching is essential.

    Pills do not give skills.

  • Clients often come to us already participating in therapy, which is great! Anxiety and depression are common with ADHD, and medications often reliably improve your life to the extent that therapy becomes much more effective.

Being in therapy doesn’t mean you can’t also participate in coaching. Reconciling your past and present while taking effective and powerful action to achieve your goals is a very potent approach.

Depending on the severity of your current challenges, coaching may or may not be offered, and will be determined after consulting with you and your therapist.

If, after the initial evaluation, I feel a therapist is indicated and you don’t have one, I will refer you to an excellent therapist.

  • We qualify for HSA payments, but are not contracted with any insurance companies, for many reasons, mostly because they are evil and care only about profit.

BUT, if needed, after payment is received, a detailed form can be provided for out-of-network billing purposes, if covered by your insurance provider. Please check with your insurance to verify their out-of-network benefits.

We do not accept third-party insurance payments, including Medicaid and Medicare.

I cost the same in money (~$150 every 3 months), cost much less in time, and I’m anti-corporate. The problem isn’t red or blue, the problem is corporate America.

  • Because 70% of those with ADHD have other co-existing diagnoses, we also treat:

    Depression

    Anxiety

    Mixed anxiety and depression

Pediatric ADHD (only for children of our clients)

    Bipolar I and II

We do NOT TREAT chemical dependency/substance use at this time.

However, ADHD is a common and significant contributor to these issues. If you struggle with chemical dependency you absolutely need to be evaluated for ADHD by someone correctly trained in managing ADHD. We are happy to provide this evaluation, help you find the best care possible for the dependency issues and, if you are found to have ADHD, communicate the diagnosis and treatment recommendations to those treating the dependency. Once your substance use/dependence is well-managed, we will be happy to manage your ADHD and other psychiatric concerns.

At ADHD Advantage, our vision is of a society created by individuals who have each done the hard work of understanding themselves, maximizing their strengths and minimizing the necessary time spent moving through the hardships we all inevitably face.  To not make excuses, to accept the reality and growth available in the situation, and to keep moving forward to the best of our given abilities, while staying true to what is most meaningful.  To recognize that we are all on this same path, traveling together in this same time, knowing that we always have the choice of being a help or a hindrance to our fellow travelers on our long walk home.

When we each fight to overcome our challenges, we develop resilience, perform better in school, work & relationships, and we find the purpose, meaning and passion we are so desperately wanting.  We become what we are seeking- our evolution is the destination and when we seek it wholeheartedly we already know true success. AND we set the stage to enjoy the full and rich symphony of LIFE!
